I'm thrilled to see this movie in the big screen, maybe I'll watch twice, first subbed and then dubbed, curious it'll be available here in México a week after the release of the Gurren Laggan movies in theaters here so there'll be a lot to watch.

Does anyone know if Sentai is doing the dub? It's the only thing I'm really asking for. But with Crunchy being involved, I wouldn't be shocked if they did their own Sad(

Cool to see it getting a theater release over here!

To be honest even if they do dub it, I assume Funimation would get back as many of the cast as possible.

It's interesting that Crunchy leans harder in the direction of the subs when it comes to advertising, I saw this trailer in theaters in front of Spy x Family and feel like Funimation would have lead with a dub trailer. Nothing wrong with it, but it's an interesting direction.

While I still hope it's Sentai that does it (I personally enjoy how they adapt Slice of Life anime)- if it will be Funimation, I'd really appreciate it if they put in the effort to preserve the core cast.

Shouldn't be too difficult considering all the VAs are Texas based and there are Haikyuu VAs who do work for both studios (Ian Sinclair, Bryson Baugus, Adam Gibbs, Greg Ayres, etc.) Though I have no clue how ccontracting VAs works and if it's really that simple...

I am so looking forward to this although I'm still bummed out that it's movies instead of continuing with episodes as they've done previously. Two movies is not alot of time to cover the remaining material without major cuts in the story. I can now only hope my local cinema will host this, they are showing the Spy Family movie so that's a good sign.

Anybody know why Crunchy are involved in this and it's not going to Sentai? I assume it's to do with finances but I could be wrong.

Crunchy licensed the TV series, they just contracted out the dub and disc rights to Sentai. They did the same with Funi for some titles, like "Keijo!!!!". That's why the discs for "Haikyu!!" all have both the Crunchy and Sentai logos on them, just like the "Keijo!!!!" ones have Crunchy and Funi.

Post-merger, Crunchy does everything in house, so no need for Sentai anymore. I suspect that's why the Haikyu sets have started going out of print. I don't imagine the agreements have been renewed...
